Defra - Avian Influenza Latest Situation

Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 has been confirmed at a premises near Dulverton, Tiverton and Minehead, Somerset.
A 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance Zone have been put in place around the premises. Further information about this case is available at www.gov.uk/birdflu.
An Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) with mandatory biosecurity measures is also in force across Great Britain.
