Defra - Avian Influenza Latest Situation

Four further cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 have been confirmed as follows:
• a second premises near Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire
• a premises near Ormesby St Margaret, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
• premises near Uckfield, Wealden, East Sussex
• a premises near Swineshead, Boston, Lincolnshire.
A 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance Zone have been put in place around each premises. Further information about these cases and the latest information is available on GOV.UK: www.gov.uk/birdflu and GOV.WALES: https://www.gov.wales/avian-influenza-bird-flu.
An Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) with mandatory housing measures is in place across areas of England and an AIPZ with mandatory biosecurity measures is also in force across Great Britain.
