Defra - Avian Influenza Latest Situation

Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 has been confirmed at a premises near Glyn Ceiriog, Wrexham. The SZ for this case extends into Shropshire, England.
A 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance Zone have been put in place around the premises. See GOV.WALES: https://www.gov.wales/avian-influenza-bird-flu for the latest information.
An Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) with mandatory biosecurity measures is also in force across Great Britain.
All bird keepers must follow the stringent biosecurity measures in addition to following any Protection/Surveillance Zone restrictions in their area to prevent future outbreaks.
